This year's guest speakers are Rev. Nancy McDonald Ladd and Natalie Briscoe. In a collaboration that brings them both some real joy, Rev. Nancy will share about the necessity of narrative storytelling for congregational vitality; then we’ll spend time with Natalie workshopping the strengths of congregations at any size and the dimensions of faith that give us a shared language for our most compelling stories.

Rev. Nancy McDonald Ladd is Vice President for Communications and Development at the UUA. She leads the development and implementation of the UUA’s communications strategy, ensures that strategy addresses the UUA’s intersectional justice priorities, and manages the UUA Communications staff. Previously, Nancy served as Senior Minister at River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation, which under her leadership became both a beacon and a beta-test for new forms of lay, staff, and clergy collaboration within and across congregations.

Natalie Briscoe is the Director of Congregational Life at the UUA. With academic credentials in Psychology and counseling and human development, she has amassed over a decade as a Religious Educator. Natalie joined the UUA's Congregational Life Staff in 2013 and served as both Field Staff and Lead for the Southern Region before becoming the Director of Congregational Life in 2026. Her ministry is to help congregations become the best institutional incarnation of Unitarian Universalism that they can be.

  • Commuter/day rate (no room + 2 Meals): $90
  • 1 Night (Wed Night) & 5 meals = $335
  • ​2 Nights (Tues and Wed Night) & 5 meals = $435
